like do they work WITH the Marines they're in charge of? take officers who work with recruiting commands for example .. where do they go everyday? they sure don't work at the recruiting office with the recruiters .. this is just something i've always been curious of because my bf is a poolee and i went to one of his pool functions and there was a captain there, but i never see him around the office or anything.

the captain was answering questions from family members along with the snco in charge and the SNCOIC i see him at the office all the time, but never the officer.

  1. my husband's a Marine and he said he doesn't think Officers work at the RSS there's usually an RSS commander an enlisted Marine in charge of the sub station. that captain might work at the main RS or if there's a Marine Corps base near by.

when you saw the captain was it family day? where DI's come out? because there will usually be an officer present for that

  2. The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is a branch of the United States armed forces responsible for providing force projection from the sea, using the mobility of the U.S. Navy to rapidly deliver combined-arms task forces. It is one of seven uniformed services of the U.S.. Administratively, the Marine Corps is a component of the Department of the Navy, but it acts operationally as a separate branch of the military, often working closely with US Naval forces for training, transportation, and logistic purposes

The Marine Corps has served in every American armed conflict and attained prominence in the 20th century when its theories and practice of amphibious warfare proved prescient and ultimately formed the cornerstone of the Pacific campaign.

The United States Marine Corps, with approximately 193,040 active duty and 40,000 reserve Marines as of April 30, 2008

  3. I dont know the exact numbers but recruiting stations have commands..This means maybe 10 recruiting stations will have one officer in charge..And he works at the main office..

These numbers are just examples but this is how they work..Each station does not have a officer working there..Each station is part of a bigger station and that will be where the leaders are found.

  4. my Dad is an Officer and he usually goes into his office in the morning to make sure his guys are there and they are working on there things and then he goes out with his other officer friends to play golf. But when he isn't playing golf he would be in meetings, other bases, home,or around base.My dad deserves all this because he came in enlisted and worked his butt off to be an Officer.
