  1. your not gonna get any cheaper, pointe shoes aren't cheap.

mine all together, the shoes, the ribbons, and gell pads were over $100.

so, yeah. i dont know what those people are talking about $10?

    thats not right!

  2. well idk cuz mine r lik 80 dollars or around there :[

  3. Well, once you know your size and type of pointe shoe, you can go to www.discountdance.com . This is where I get mine. They sell them cheaper that in the stores but certainly not $10.00. You have to remember that you have to pay for shipping too. Once you are comfortable in a pair of shoes go ahead and buy them on line.

  4. i've never even seen shoes as cheap as $30.

my advice would be to remember that you tend to get what you pay for. cheap shoes may mean cheap quality.

the reason that pointe shoes are so expensive is because they are handmade. every pair. (which explains why every pairs feels different). you can do what i did and make friends with your local dance supply store. i knew the lady from my local store since i started dancing. and she gave me a better deal than what i was finding in the catalogues (3 pairs for $100 including ribbon). that saved TONS of money each month.

  5. They are probably buying them off ebay.  I've seem them there for $10-15 BUT you need to be careful you don't buy or wear used ones because that can damage your feet! My daughter used to go through 2-3 pairs a month until we found a style that worked for her feet and special ordered them through a local shop.  She wore Serenade Hard Shank and could go almost 2 months in them.  She doesn't dance anymore so I don't know if they even make them anymore.

  6. you cant for dirt cheap if u want good pointe shoes.. and if u buy used ones off ebay youll ruin ur feet...the best i can tell u is get professionally fitted at a store and the cheapest are blochs my first pair were 50 bucks which is good considering mine are 110 now! so dont complain...seriously unless u want to ruin ur feet dont buy dirt cheap ebay shoes!

  7. Those people probably bought second hand pointe shoes which is obviously dangerous

  8. Trust me - you don't wan cheap shoes.. Don't even think there is such a thing as cheap pointe shoes. The shoes will need to fit you perfectly so it's best you go to a shop well known for pointe shoes. I know from experience - I was in the wrong pointe shoes for years (bloch aspirations didn't work for me) then switched to the grishko 2007 which was much better for me. You need to make sure you get the right shoe and it can help you so much you could never imagine - and they can also last better too. My advice is to get the right ones, not the cheap ones. You can probably get cheap ones that are already broken in but they won't support your feet and this could lead to ankle / arch problems etc. Good luck!

  9. inexpensive pointe shoes that fit are IMPOSSIBLE to get. i had to buy 75 dollar ones, if you actually want the right size that will better your dancing abilities you are going to need to cough up a little money.

  10. you're definately not going to get anything cheaper than $30. unless it's been used before and that would be a completely awful idea anyway..to wear used pointe shoes.

pointe shoes aren't cheap if they're worth anything. I think that $30 for a pair of pointe shoes sounds sort of fishy too. you want a quality pair of shoes and you have to pay for quality but it really is important because without the correct shoe, or training you can really damage your feet.

aaallso. it's really not a good idea either to order pointe shoes online..you need to schedule a fitting because they need to fit you perfectly or you could permantly s***w up your feet. lol hopppee i helped sorta. i just don't think cheap + pointe shoes go together
