Where do people go socially to talk about politics? Coffee shops?

I went out to a dance club and had two or three ladies who wanted to take me home, but no takers on political discussion.

Where do people go to talk politics? There are political discussions here in yahoo... Besides Yahoo though it is hard for me to say... You see I live in a small fairly unpopulated area of the United States and also in a very Red county. Mine and my husbands political beliefs are very different from one another and our discussions sometimes lead to arguments so we have learned not to discuss those things that create unnecessary conflict.  I don't talk politics with people where I live because they always seem to not be interested, informed or they bring their religion into the discussion. I do take classes at a 4 year college in a larger city and find that many people are willing to discuss logical political ideas in many different places--especially in the student government office!  Hope this helps!
