  1. Hotels, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, cafes.

We do the same stuff anyone else would do if they had 24 hours to sit around in Paris.

  2. Depends on how regular you are on the route and what the layovers are like.  I used to sing in the choir at St. John's Anglican Cathedral in HongKong.  Met lots of great people, got invited to parties, and so on.

The unimaginative ones sit in the bar or watch the tube.

  3. I've talked to a few pilots sitting inside of hotel bars.  They usually stay at the higher end hotels in town because it's all expensed.

  4. I think the airline pays for them to stay @ hotels until they fly again.

  5. There are three main apres-arrival venues:

    1) the hotel bar

    2) the nearest lap dancing club

    3) the airport chapel

Selection is based on, influenced by, the following:

    1) the proximity of the next flight

    2) the quality of the hosties on the outward leg

    3) the severity of the 'near-death experience' encountered on the last approach

  6. There are time limits for pilots between International flights, so they check into to a hotel for a few days.

  7. the bar

  8. Most important they sleep and eat. For layovers longer than 12 hours they may play tourist, read, have s*x, or anything they like to do. They are prohibited from drinking alcohol, even beer, for at least 24 hours before next flight.

  9. Wherever they want to. They're on their own time.

  10. Either the Pilots lounge, or the flight attendants lounge, depending on how many times they have been married...(Just kidding guys)
