Where do plants get their carbon to grow?

I'm assuming from the air we breath out, but I just wanted to double check if there are any other ways.

  3. Carbon dioxide is a component of the air. We do exhale it, and it's also stored in the ocean and deep in the earth and can be released by natural events.

  4. they get carbon dioxide from the air we exhale from our lungs.  That is the bi-product of breathing and using oxygen plants produce.
