Big cities or small towns? Why?

I think it depends on the profession.

A farmer wouldn't do too well in the big city.

But for the most part, I don't think where you live determines how well you do your job. You're just doing it in a different setting.

Speaking generically, more competition in big cities, but more at stake (reputation wise) in small towns as there's less anonymity.
