Question:

Where do the mouse ears on a inboard/outboard 1980 crestliner apollo go?

I just bought a 1980 apollo and am wanting to test the motor out of water. i know that i need to hook up "mouse ears" swo that i can run it but am not real sure where it goes. Any one able to help

  1. opposite of your prop on the lower unit, make sure the cups cover the water inlet

    the water will exit your prop hub, and you should get water out of the pee hole up top if you have enough water pressure.

    when i say opposite of your prop i mean that they will slide on opposite and just above.


  2. Clamp the "mouse ears" on the lower unit so the ears cover the water intakes on both side, put a garden hose on the one side of the ears. Water first then start the engine.
