Where do the spammers on 360 get my "name" from?

I’m just curious where they get it from. The latest wave of spam starts:

“Hi x*x, I found your profile from NA's page …”

They don’t use my screen name, the only name that can be seen on my 360 to my knowledge, so where do they find my "name"? By "name" I mean my email name not my real name.

And NO, it's not from "NA's page" since I don't know any "NA" and I wouldn't post my "name" anywhere.

  1. Someone who has joined a new social networking site that drives you nuts wanting you to share your address book of contacs so they can send out invitations has sold your email address to everyone in the world who wants it!

If I were you I would ask the person they say they got your profile from if they have signed up for any kind of new place on the net.

then I would go to my main profile account and change my primary email address to the alternate you have there and then set all my privacy settings to friends only for a while..

Maybe set up a filter on your email to kick out any email coming into me that has the keyword "profile" in it.

If you are getting these spam messages in your 360 mailbox.. you need to click onto the persons id picture and go to their page and under their id name click report abuse and turn the spammer in!!!!
