  1. What are thunderbugs? I don't think we have them in the UK.


  2. They don't have anything to do with weather.

  3. I believe they are actually called Thrips.  They are called thunderbugs because they often accociated with thundery weather, and they are common in mid summer (thunderstorm season). They do not actually "live" somewhere else during clear weather.
