Where do they get their coupons?

Do you ever see those people at the grocery store with loads and loads of coupons when they are checking out? and they wind up saving over 50 bucks when all is said and done. and there i stand with my 4 or 5 that i had a really hard time finding, where in the world do all these coupons come from, do they get every paper available to man or what? i feel like i am missing the boat when it comes to saving my family money in the grocery store.. HELP PLEASE!!

You can find grocery store ad scans online ahead of time. Also people tend to know the cycle of when certain items will go on sale. They can also order coupons online. (the first responder gives you a site that you can order coupons online) They aren't paying for the coupon (because that is illegal) but the time it took for it to get cut out, mailed etc. Sometimes they buy more than one newspaper to get the good coupons or have friends and relatives give them coupons. You can get them all kinds of places----newspapers, the Internet, the mail, coupon books....sometimes they even have them right there in the store!

You can view your grocer's weekly flyer online to see what is the cheapest deal, and also print store coupons (some stores let you even just load them onto your club card online so you don't even have to print them off).  "Stack" or combine store coupons with manufacturers coupons (most places let you do that).  Its even better if you have a grocery store that does double coupons, etc...

Check out Centsible.net for grocery coupons.  You don't have to sign up or anything.  There's a HUGE list of grocery store websites where you can check the flyers and print the store coupons.  They also have a page with links to where you can usually find manufacturer's coupons (at the company's official sites).  Links are in the resources.

If you live in a small market you should try buying a big market Sunday paper if locally available.

For example, the Beaumont, Tx (small market) Sunday paper may have 10-12 coupons while the Houston (large market) paper will have the same 10-12 plus 30-40 more. If it has some coupons for stuff you use buy more than one copy!

Also, check your local library.Some allow a "coupon swap" section where you bring your unwanted ones and trade for ones you can use. If yours doesn't have this section ask if you can start one...

eBay also is a source for coupons. Some people sell theirs for $1-5 depending on how many they have.

Another way is to subscribe to magazines All You magazine has many coupons each month. And only costs about $1.50 per issue.

Sign up for free web mailings, and samples at major food company websites. Kraft has a wonderful magazine they send out quarterly. There are others... do a Google search for "free samples." Signing up gets you on their mailing list. They will send you coupons...

Be ware of online "print your own coupon" sites. Some are spammers. Only deal with reputable companies. And sometimes stores won't accept "printed" coupons.

The best website i have found so far is Lionshare club. they have a step by step process to help you get major savings. They have printable coupons, coupons for trade, and a page called stealing is believing that shows you how to get stuff for free at walmart, cvs, etc.

I get the paper every Saturday(in Atlanta they sell the Sunday paper on Saturdays too). I also look online at the grocery stores websites, and I am a member of the grocery stores saver club. You have to look through everything in the newspaper because there will be coupons in the places you don't look. Also my store sends me coupons every couple of months based on items I buy regularly, which helps a lot. Also some stores double coupons up to a certain amount,( usually up to 50 cents) so you make sure to ask the cashier to double the coupons that can be doubled( it would be nice to already have it separated for them). Buy only what is on sale(if you like those items), and try to find the items on your coupons. Make sure you leave the children at home so you can shop wisely. It takes time, so you will gradually get good at it. I bought two weeks worth of groceries for about $90 yesterday. Be careful because some stores don't accept online coupons. But also check out websites for your favorite items. They often send out coupons to you as well.

Go to coupons.com, and also thegrocerygame.com..don't sign up for membership, but just click on free coupons link to the left corner. Also try coolsavings.com, and eversave.com. Not sure which grocery stores are around you. But here it is Kroger so go to your grocery stores website and check too.
