Where do they serve high tea?

i want to have a party with high tea (if you don't know what this is, don't bother answering) and i live in Santa Brabara. thank you

  1. High tea and afternoon tea are often used interchangeable, but originally there was a difference.  Today, many hotels will advertise 'high tea' but it is not the original English meal (with tea) that was served in the evening instead of dinner.  Usually a hotel, or restauarant, that serves high tea actually serves pasteries with tea in late afternoon.  I'd look up British establishments to ask this question and get my pasteries, scones and breads with jam at a bakery.  SOunds like fun.


  2. Probably your best bet is in a Hotel or Resort. Most regular Restaurants and Bars or Coffee houses don't serve a "High Tea" that i can think of. If you got the bucks call a hotel and reserve a room.
