Where do u get great fish n chips in gold coast, aussie?

I'll be staying at the islander resort hotel @ surfer paradise... im tourist, so i hope u guys can give a lil more details on the restaurants .. thanks heaps to those who have replied!!

Charis Seafoods on the waterfront at Labrador.  Pick the fish you want to eat if you like. Lovely park to eat it in too overlooking the Broadwater (they only do take-out)  And if you go at lunch time you can also watch almost 100 wild pelicans being fed right next to you.  Also good for fresh seafood (Charis Seafoods - not the pelicans).  Makes your mouth water going in there. xxxx

Helen B is right on the mark.  Charis Seafood is fantastic.  Fresh fish everyday and it just melts in the mouth.  I don't know what it is like now as I haven't been there for a while, but Captain Hook's (if you are down near Tugun, used to be really nice)
