That explains me being born in Stuttgart, Germany.. so far all I know is that they were both in the military and the case took place in Belton, Texas. 1. Non Identifying information from the placing agency.  ASK if any letters have been placed in your file...

  2. First go to isrr.net and register there.

Then join lots of adoption search groups.  Google them.

    The Adoption Database

    Soaring Angels

    The Registry

Those are only a few.  Join as many as are appropriate for your situation, and "Search Angles" on those groups will help you.

    Good luck!

    .

  3. issr and the texas registry for adoptions.

come on over to the adultadoptees.org group!

  4. Cyn1066 is talking absolute bollocks.  Please don't listen to this stuff - adoptees have to put up with this kind of idiocy all the time.

Yes you can find the truth of your origins and your mother did not choose a closed adoption - it was imposed upon her - open adoption was not an option then

I just found my mother after searching for 20 years and she is thrilled.  Never let anyone disuade you or tell you how to feel.  I just had to speak up because this kind of cr*p should never be said to adoptees - it's just nasty and hurtful and I'm sick of people telling adoptees how to think and feel

If you were born in Germany you will be able to access your records there.  Don't forget to register with ISRR.net

  5. Your birth certificate is probably in Stuttgart but if the adoption occurred in Belton.  There are some of us that can help you.  Could you pm me later with the details that you do have?  I would need date of birth to double check something.  If your natural parents are Texans, I am wondering if the birth would have been registered in Texas.

  6. Have you spoken with a lawyer to find out where to start? Call one and see if they do free consultations.

    God Bless and Good Luck!

  7. If both birth parents were military it is considered a US birth.  Unless born in a German hospital the birth record was likely provided by the US state department.

Your best resources are to search & register with the following groups/organizations.

    isrr.net

    txcare.org

    gsadoptionregistry.com

    registry.adoption.com

    findme.org

    Good luck!

  8. I know it is hard, but you might have to except never knowing.  The person that gave you up instead of aborting, chose closed adoption, and she had her reasons.  Think when she could have ended her pregancy she choose to give you life, try to except that gift.  Your DNA matters for very little it is what you make of yourself that counts.  Good luck with your life.
