  1. Ottawa and Quebec City.  Put Winnipeg back in the western conference.  5 east and 5 west.

  2. Ottawa for the last time

    Halifax for a joke

    Saskatoon well why not?

    how bout the Yukon?

  3. Halifax!!!    Definitely not Ottawa and definitely not Saskatoon!!!  Putting a franchise in Saskatoon would split the provincial loyalty to the Roughriders and would result in their demise as well as the failure of the Saskatoon franchise!!!  As for Ottawa, how many chances do they get to support a football team!!!!

  4. Ottawa - Make sure that there is a proper owner.

Quebec City - Another major Canadian City

Halifax - I feel that it is time to go to the maritimes.

Unfortunately, the West has all cities covered with the exception of Victoria. Football in BC has been a tough sell.

  5. Here's what's GOING to happen:

    Ottawa gets a team back

Halifax and Quebec City will get a team.

That's guaranteed within the next 20 years.

The Bills moving to Toronto would accelerate this process as the CFL would probably stand to lose either the Tiger Cat or Argonaughts in terms of finances ( not as much coming in ).

Aside from the 3 I mentioned it might be possible to get another team in B.C.

  6. I think the CFL should not expand too much like it tried to do in the mid 90's, but I think that maybe they should build a new stadium in Ottawa, and bring back the Rough Riders not the lame Renegades,  and try to appeal the CFL more to Quebec and put a team in Quebec City. If the CFL was willing to take a risk, they could put a team in the Northern United States (maybe Anchorage)

  7. in Ottawa with proper ownership not the yahoos that they picked the last few times.

definitely in Halifax if they can build a good stadium there to share between CFL team and the University team.

Possibly Quebec City as football is a big there with the rouge et Or university team.

  8. If there was expansion coming it would be nice in Ottawa and Quebec. A team in the Maritimes would work. If there were some strict rules such as an honest Salary Cap. True revenue sharing and restrictions on under the table trends.

The weak rules regarding governance and income declarations stymie the chance for ownership in the small market cities to survive. Ottawa, Halifax, and Quebec City can't compete with the Saskatchewan Boosters which make this franchise one of the richest in the league.

    But that's another story.

  9. Another team in Quebec and maybe one in the Maritimes would be sufficient. The question would be though; would football be a really good draw in a place like Halifax? I know they support their hockey team well, but i'm still a bit confused on football. If it was such a good idea, this would have happened 10-15 years ago....

  10. whats the CFL?

    Compact Florescent Light?

I think we should use them everywhere to save energy and protect the environment.

  11. I love the CFL, I am a season ticket holder with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.  I think Quebec City would be the best city or maybe Ottawa or Halifax.  Getting committed well-healed ownership is the key and it is better to wait than just jump in with anyone, as we have witnessed in Ottawa.

And anyone who loves gridiron football, should love 4 down American, 3 down Canadian, it's after all all football, blocking, tackling, running, passing etc.

    Long live the CFL!!!!

  12. It's the Canadian Fieldgoal League.

Halifax has a plan for a harbour-front stadium; it'll just take the will and somebody's big bucks to build it.  Then they will come.  Also a team in Ottawa is a given.
