Where do u throw away batteries healthy-ly?

Question

i dont know where to throw away my batteries

all i know is that

when they decompose

they let some chemical thats bad for the environment

so i wanna know how or where to throw them away

Not sure where you live; Radio Shack here used to have a battery return program in place to accept old batteries. You might also want to contact your local government waste department to see what they suggest.

I'm lucky in that my workplace accepts old batteries to be returned to a special recycler.

Hardware/home stores like home depot, Lowe's, ace etc usually have a container for recycling batteries.  You might call around first to avoid a useless trip.
