Anybody have an idea on where we get GOAT MEAT (mutton) in South Bangalore (Jayanagar).

When I visited mutton stall, they have either Sheep or Lamb meat.

There is no Goat Meat [Kurumbatu Kari (குறும் ஆட்டு கறி) in Tamil]

If you known it, let me know the place.

  1. Raise a goat .. Or substitute the meat for mushroom stems available at any veggie supply store... You are in Vegetarian paradise might I add, so as well make use of it

  2. I think you might have to try Johnson Market in Richmond Town. Go up Hosur Road (towards Brigade Rd side, not towards Koramangala) and it is just after Baldwin Boys School. If you go on a Sunday morning you'll also get nice fresh seafood!

PS I double-checked and yes, you will get goat meat at Johnson Market. Most people here use the word 'mutton' for either goat or sheep meat, generally call it 'bakri'.

  3. Mutton is  the flesh of a mature sheep used for food.

`chevon', or `cabrito' is goat meat

  4. Muttom comes only from sheep ! Who told you it was from goats ?

  5. the store

  6. Try at ur nearest big bazar....
