  1. I have used the AT&T system such as you describe for over a  year and it works well. You have a base set that plugs into the electrical outlet and a phone jack for dial tone. All of the auxillary phones just need electricity since they use the same phone line as the base only they do it wirelessly.

You can buy many brands and many different stores. I suggest Target, Walmart, Best Buy to name a few. You can also buy online.

  2. buy a cell phone

  3. yes....digital phones!!!

here is a website so you can check it out!!!

the main base-phone will have a build-in router and firewall......then all you have to buy is the extensions...up to 6-10!!!

since there are kinda pricey....I just got one every month....! (on sale)

  4. Are you talking about a cordless phone?

Even though they are called cordless, they

still have to be plugged into a phone jack and a wall outlet.  You can buy these at most department stores, and some dollar stores.  The more you pay for one, the more features they have.  The one I have will do everything but cook my breakfast

for me. LOL.  You can get a good one for around $29.00.

  5. the ones that appear to not have phone jacks are usually part of a system like this one

at least one of the phones must be plugged in to the jack.

you can get them at bestbuy or any such place.

Or you could join the 21st century and just use your cell phone for everything like everybody else does.

  6. Best Buy

  7. Yeah...

What you need is a cordless phone with an extra charging base. Most phones sold with an extra charging base include two handsets as well. There are a couple with corded phones built into the main unit that include a cordless handset with charger.

  8. best buy, and i think SOME radio shacks....

  9. You can find them almost anywhere - the best places to look would be walmart, office depot, target, and best buy.

You are looking for a "multi-handset" phone package. It comes with one "base station" that connects to the phone line (and usually holds the answering machine, if included), and than it comes with one or more handsets (cordless phones).

The systems are pretty cheap, you can (with luck) find them starting at about $40 usd.

The more you go up in price, the more features you get: intercom calling (call one handset from another one), add-in handsets (you can buy extra handsets if needed), and so on.

If you have any questions about which ones are good, or what specificly to look for, feel free to email me.

  10. Cell phone...XD
