My info says up to 85% on prescription medication bought on line is non-genuine. Goodness knows what is actually in some of it! Some of it is the real chemical, but often produced in dubious sheds at the bottom of gardens, this means that doses and bio-equivalence are often a problem.

A good example of this turned up recently when some sildenafil, the chemical that is better known as Viagra, was sold in a fairly widespread way on line, having been cooked up somewhere. There is, as yet no generic Viagra, as it is still under patent. This stuff was produced in tablets and gel with far higher quantity/dose that the real thing. Ah-ha you might say, extra Viagra got to be better even than the real thing, however the dose was so high that most users suffered from intense headache, lightheadedness and indigestion and many passed out! Maybe not so good!
