Where do you get Firebricks from?

Hi, we have recently took our old brick fire surround and hearth out and we need to rebuild the back of the fire (had to remove the old back boiler) does any one know where to get Firebricks from?

Building suppliers should stock or be able to order refactory bricks for you.

Your local builders merchanfs should be able to order some in for you

any masonry supply store should be able to order them for you...check on your fireclay there too...

If you are intending to reuse the fire as an open fire ,Just buy a complete fire back.Filling the gaps behind ordinary bricks will do.

refractory brick would be too expensive and inappropriate for your needs, i make them. you need to look up firebrick suppliers. i dont know where you are, but if you in yorkshire then yorkshire refractories will supply what you need. they are in halifax. hope this helps
