  1. Eggs

    Cheese

    Milk

    Soy

    Peanut butter

    Yogurt

    Fish

    Shell fish

  2. Poultry and fish.  Milk, cheese, eggs and yogurt.  Beans also have a lot of protein but vegetable protein isn't quite the same.

  3. I get it from lemonheads

  4. Nuts, tofu, beans, veggies

  5. Textured vegetable protein (TVP)

  6. Tofu

  7. you need whey protein shakes.  they are not bad for you at all.  all it is is whey protein.  the one i take is 30g of protein in each serving, and like less than 1g of fat.  all you do is mix it with water.  it comes in a container and it's just powder.  and get chocolate cause it tastes the best.  drinking one of those is like eating a steak.  you can get them at GNC

  8. You didn't mention if you are vegetarian or not.

Anyway the Vegetarian Society says: ''Most foods contain at least some protein. Good sources of protein for vegetarians include nuts and seeds, pulses, soya products (tofu, soya milk and textured soya protein such as soya mince), cereals (wheat, oats, and rice), free-range eggs and some dairy products (milk, cheese and yoghurt)''.

In addition to this list, peanut butter is a great source of protein.

Vary the foods you eat over the course of the day. No protein shakes required. You will get all the protein you need from a varied diet. (A balanced meat free diet is basically a very healthy diet). :)

  9. Beans of all kinds are good, but I am quite sure that Brown (Pinto) beans are the best. You buy them dry or canned.

  10. Protein does not come up short on a meatless diet.  It's the building block of life, meaning plants are made of it, too.  Most meat eaters get WAY too much and it's potentially damaging to their health.   Excess protein leaches calcium from the bones, taxes the kidneys and irritates the immune system.

That said, of course you need a reasonable amount of it.  But all you really have to do to get it is eat a varied, balanced diet.  Vegetarian sources of protein include soybeans and soy-based foods (tofu, tempeh, edamame, tvp, and a variety of faux meats like boca burgers,) beans and other legumes (peas, peanuts, lentils, chickpeas,) whole grains (all of 'em,) nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables (especially dark green veggies,) dairy products and eggs.  If you are taking in enough calories to meet your energy need and you're not trying to live on junk food, you are getting plenty and you do not need to take a protein supplement.  Food is much better for you than pills or powders.
