Where do you get vegan chocolate chips or carob chips?

If there's a Whole Foods in your area, that's a great place. If not, just read the ingredients on the bags at your local grocery store. I buy Ghiradelli semi-sweet chocolate chips (Ghiradelli is a high class NOT vegan brand, but their semi-sweet chocolate chips are "accidentally vegan").

I also found another brand that's vegan at my regular grocery store, so all you really have to do is read the ingredients and it's likely you'll find something!  :)

I would think that your grocery store would have what many are now calling 'Heath Food' area.  It would be located in that area usually.

With so many people being allergic to milk and the milk that is within many of the chocolate chips that are so common - they are more and more common than many think.  But for some really WEIRD reason they seem to love to hide the things in stores. So just ask for a manager at the store to show you where they are at.

If they don't have it - then request that they get it.  The next step would be to head to your local health food store (second choice because they usually are going to cost you more) and you will find them there with no problems at all.

I would suggest actually before doing any of the above - to call first.  No need to waste money on gas.  Get someone on the phone that actually KNOWS what they are talking about - since many times the person that is answering the phone really doesn't know.

I just know that if I can get them in all the stores around where I live which is most definitely hicktown USA - you most definitely should be able to get them in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Health food stores, mainly.  Some regular grocers carry carob.
