Where do you go fishing in Minnesota for Muskie?

Me and my dad are planning to go on a fishing trip next weekend..

We dont know where to go fishing for Muskie in (Northern) Minnesota..

Also if you have any tips or useful info that would be great! thanks in advance =)

  1. fish the dead end bays and inlets where weeds and reeds are coming out of the water. fish fast and very large top water spinning rattling flashing in line bucktails and crankbaits. best have a good heavy action rod too!


  2. Check Minnesota's DNR website.  Was up there in May and fished Lake Kabetogama and caught alot of pike and walleye, but never caught a muskie.  Wasn't really fishing for them though.  Musky are tough to catch.  Not sure if Rainy Lake has musky or not.
