  1. I saw his fight against John Ruiz....all he did was run around and dance...he danced more than Fred Astaire, and they still gave him the victory...what bull.s.hit ---  I saw when that dude from Jamaica knocked him out--that was beautiful!

  2. I think as a 160lb fighter,he's up there with Hagler and Robinson,a truly gifted fighter with unnatural speed and reflexes, this was his best weight. His defeat against Hopkins(albeit a long time ago)has to put him id say number 4 or 5.

  3. he would probably be in the top ten pound for pound list and perhaps the top three greatest middle weight, it is hard to say which division he was best in but I think he dominated the most in the middleweight and super middle weight ranks because in those weight classes he seemed to have been able to absorb punches more effectively

  4. Not anywhere near Ali,Robinson,Marciano,Leonard,Whitaker,A...     Holyfield,De la Hoya, Hearns, Hagler,Olivares,Lamotta,   Chavez,Foreman,Moore,Tunney,Dempsey,Dura...  Armstrong. But he was pretty good. I wouldnt say great. Just really good. And I know more boxing fans that would agree than ones who wont.

  5. On the pound for pound list I have him at number 20 all time.

  6. the guys has the titles to show how great he was, so if u base his greatness on numbers than he is a great fighter.......

he was too much of a pretty boy for my taste, he had unbelievable speed but that's it, i don't remember him getting in a slug fest, so i consider him another really good fighter....

  7. yea hes very talented he beat a lot of good people i dont no y they say he fought nobodies

  8. He was easily one of the great middle weight fighters ever but did'nt really fight enough good opponents to get a lot of credit in the heavier divisions.  He hand picked his heavyweight opponents and I bet he would'nt dare step into the ring with James Toney at that weight.  When his age caught up to him and he lost his extraordinary speed a few flaws were exposed in a couple knock out defeats.  He's an all time great just not an all  all time great if that makes sense.

  9. he's not great he lost.........GREAT FIGHTERS DON'T LOSE calzaghe all the way hopkins is a bum!!!!!!!!!!!
