  1. How about the Everglades. It's a big ol' swamp. Just don't let them go waterskiing in your story -- gators will eat 'em.

  2. I used to keep it at the marina in a slip. This is in Middle river, a tributary of the Chesapeake bay. It's a short distance to sail to the bay and there are a lot of places you could go from there. Some people just get near a sandy beach, drop anchor and swim for awhile. Hope this helps your story.

  3. sounds like you need to come Downeast to Jonesport Me. deerie and see for yourself

  4. The boat is kept in the large boat house by the lake.

  5. A boat slip at a marina. On a mooring you have to row out to.

  6. Not sure that I understand the question.

    But boats are kept:

    In marinas

    Tied to docks

On a buoy, row out in a dingy

    On a shore station

    On a trailer

  7. Depends on the type of boat, but how about Lake Okeechobee in the center of Florida?  The Bermuda Triangle?  In a slip at a marina?  At anchor in a quiet cove?  Tied to a town dock?
