Where do you put the wick in a parraffin/kerosene hurricane lamp?

I bought one and the instructions don't say

there is a small wheel type k**b on the outside of the lamp.

open the lamp up and separate the wick holder from the paraffin reservoir.

feed the wick up under the bottom of the holder then turn the wheel k**b this will draw the wick up into the holder.

keep turning till 1/2 inch protrudes up the remainder of the wick dangles down into the paraffin

when lighting adjust the wick to a level where the flame is blue not yellow or smokey
