Where do you recommend for gaining a PPL (Private Pilot's License)?

I am based in West London, but would consider international schools.

  1. You cant get a PPL in the UK for £1000, a minimum of 45 hours at about £125 per hour, better budget at between £7 - £10k. Plenty of flying schools around London, Booker Air Park, Elstree, look in the aviation mags. Best of luck.


  2. Cabair, an international company that also teaches the APTL, does do it at Denham Airfeild near M40/A40.

    Average overall cost is around £1000.

    if you do go international, make sure its a JAA so it is legal for a europe based pilot.
