I am travelling with my family to Edmonton Alberta, from 21 August to 27, where do you recommend me to go. What should I not miss? My parents are almost 50, I am 21 and my brothers are 18 and 11. I will study at the University of Alberta this Fall. We are mexicans. I will like to know what places at Edmonton we should not miss. Thanks

  1. west edmonton mall water park and galixyland in wem and fort edmonton is cool along with the valley zoo my friends mom works there and right now they have two baby red pandas at their house i love them their cute and fuzzy the kinsmen center is cool because they have humongous diving boards and stuff there i think your parents would like fort edmonton and maybe the zoo as well and the rest of you would definitely like the water park and galaxy land and the kinsmen center has huge awesome diving boards

  2. Visit West Edmonton Mall, Whyte Ave (which is close to the UofA).  If you like the Arts, we have a festival going on right now called the Fringe.  It's also held on Whyte near the UofA.  Have fun and good luck with your studies.

  3. if you do have a chance, look into taking an excursion to Jasper to see the mountains... but my personal choice for Edmonton would be the River Valley/Legislature Grounds... you could spend days walking around enjoying the view!

  4. Of course West Edmonton Mall, there's the sea caverns, sea lion show, water park, arcade and galaxy land in there. Not to mention excellent shopping!

Also, Fort Edmonton Park is a fun place to go, they have a website online.

Skip the zoo, it isn't exciting, probably the worst zoo I've ever been to.

The fringe festival is on whyte ave until the 24th! It's an excellent time. There are amazing performances and kiosks and food. Everyone loves this festival.

You and your older brother should hit up the clubs while you're here... my favorites are Empire Ballroom, Union Hall, and Vinyl. Or if you wanna go bar hoping, theres a million bars on whyte ave. Make sure if you go to one of the bigger clubs that I just mentioned, you get there before 10 to avoid line ups!

Have fun in Edmonton, I hope you enjoy your stay!

  5. I'm pretty sure anyone you ask will tell you at least this:

    Go to West Edmonton Mall.

It was the largest mall in the world until 1998 or so, but is still one of the largest, 3rd if I believe so. Huge mall, lots of shops to do shopping (though mainly clothes), but there are also other attractions.
