Where do you shop to buy ethical fairtrade and organic young women's fashion in the UK?

I know the obvious sites like peopletree.com and adili.com. Have any hints and tips to extend choice?

  1. you might to ask they might have clothes which is eco friendly i know because the stores in the us does


  2. 'fashion'? you mean like buying stuff one year and throwing it away the next? hardly green even if it is 'ethical'.

    i buy second hand. it might not be 'fashionable' but someone has to get the wear out of all those clothes.

    doh! didnt read the q. properly. so used to everyone on here being american! sorry no i have no british links. the guardian site might be a good place to start, they had some lovely bamboo towels the other day. actually, i did buy a new skirt last year, from a hippy chap who has a stall in our market, he gets his stuff from a couple of small businesses one in peru i think, all the hats and jumpers, and silk clothes from india, with a something-co-op label in, dont know if thats a scam but he is convinced they are from a ladies sewing co-op.

    the latest edition of permaculture magazine had an ethical fashion spread several pages!
