  1. I agree... One it saves money for the parents. In school it limits fights, confidence, etc. that kids have. If you are all wearing the same thing, there should be no additional fights.

I went to school with uniforms as a child elementry... As as child I didnt like it... As an adult I see why they should.

  2. From a teacher standpoint, I agree 100% that schools should require uniforms. Most of my day as a teacher is spent inspecting student wardrobe for violations, and then writing referrals for violations. If a student in my first period class has a dress code violation and I ignore it, but their second period teacher notices it and writes them up, then the Principal comes to me. Violations take away from classroom time and learning so I am in favor of uniforms.

Also, it makes school less of a fashion show. I can understand the reasons that students don't want uniforms because they are at a time when they are trying to identify with themselves and figure out who they really are. But it's much less of a hassle for me...the teacher!

  3. i agree and disagree. I disagree with them because kids can't express themselves, they are all made to wear the asme uniform, and usually no make-up, no extreme haircuts and very little jewellery. They are all made to look the same and it can get depresseing.

on the other hand uniforms are good because kids can get ready quicker in the morning and also children who can't afford the best clothes or they can't afford a new outfit for everyday in school, may get bullied for not having the best stuff!

  4. i really dont like to wear it because u cant express urself

  5. I agree because, if everyone wore a uniform, nobody would have to worry about who has the most expensive stuff.

  6. AGREE!!  Kids can get ready quicker in the morning.  No clothing that points to gangs or other lifestyles.  No competition among kids for who has the best, most expensive, whatever.

  7. I agree and disagree, and here is the reason:

I went to a private school for 7 years, and we had uniforms. My sophmore year I transferred to a public school that didnt have uniforms.

While the uniforms were nice, and I didn't need to think very hard about what I wore in the morning, there were also some set backs. First, there was no individuality. Second, the school basically had a monopoly on the clothes we wore. This meant that we ended up paying ridiculous prices for our clothing. And third, because girls were required to wear skirts.....well, you can already see the problems with that.

Some of the problems with public school non-uniform policies was how inappropriate some people were. But, I enjoyed being able to wear what I wanted.

For me, the best solution isn't uniforms. I believe that schools need to have certain rules about how students dress, but not flat out uniforms. That seems to be the best way to get rid of dress problems.
