  1. Katie: A diminutive of Katherine, which originates from the Greek name Aikaterine. That is the generally accepted etymology of the name, however some claim that it originated from an earlier Greek name Hekaterine, or it could originate from a Coptic name that means 'my consecration of your name'.

    Bliss: A name of Old English origin and means 'joy, intense happiness'. The name itself dates to medieval times.

    Katianna: This name sounds like it is a variant of the Russian and Latin name Tatiana. Tatiana is the feminine form of a Roman clan name. I would assume that Katianna is a name of modern English origin. Either it's a variant of Tatiana, or it's a compound name of two seperate ones- Katie & Anna, or Kat & Tianna.

    Here are the origins of these names: Katie (detailed above), Anna (a latinized form of the Hebrew name Hannah), Kat (A variant of Katherine), Tianna (A variant of Tiana, which is a diminutive of Tatiana).

  2. It originated from your parents imagination, not trying to sound rude. Derived from a combination of Katie and Anna. There is no ethnic origin with that name in it. There is Katina, Katerina, Tatianna, but no Katianna. Bliss is simply an english word that means joyful and happy. Your parents could have heard it on the primetime soap opera 'The Colby's" (a spin off of Dynasty) one of the characters was named Bliss. Why I remember that? I don't know. Your name is a lovely name regardless.

  3. Katie = pure

    origin = english

    Bliss  = Perfect Joy
