  1. I live in the in-lands of LA; Zachary, LA that is.

  2. Right now projections still favor the middle Gulf coast (Louisiana/Mississippi/Alabama), though if an upper high expected over the midwest early next week is stronger, it could nudge Gustav a little further westward.  I wouldn't be surprised to see rapid strengthening later today into tomorrow as Gustav will be in a favorable environment.  However by late in the weekend into early next week the atmospheric environment could be more hostile and may weaken Gustav as it approaches the coast of wherever.

  3. I live in conroe, tx which is 40 miles north of Houston.  I will tell you right now, we are not in the projected path which is central LA.  If this storm strikes central LA we will probably see partly cloudy skies with a little breeze (weak side of hurricane).  But we are in the cone of uncertainty, just be prepared because that is all you can do right now.  Once its 3 days out before landfall, usually hurricanes strike within close proximity of projected landfall.  Keep your gas tank full until landfall!!!

  4. I live in Louisiana and I'm evacuating for Gustav since the eye is predicted to come around where I live.
