I'm a freelance copywriter and own Clear Copy Solutions, so although it may seem like I work for myself, I actually work for a slate of various clients at any one time.

One of the good things about owning your own business is that if you have a problem client, you can "fire" them at the end of a project (I've only had to do that a handful of times), unlike a boss, which most people would have a hard time doing.

My husband and I have our own home based business inside another business in the telecommunications industry with ACN for over seven years.  The world's largest direct selling telecommunications service provider.  I get paid a percentage of other people's telecommunications billings each month they pay their bills on landlines, cellular, digital and video, voip, satellite tv etc.

I work part-time at Mark's Work Wearhouse and I have a wellness business I work from home part-time.  I hope to do that full-time by next year.

I opened my own company in 2001.  I'm glad i did.  I wish i had done it sooner.  I'm a real estate agent.  People call me when they want to put their house up for sale.  I write down the info and take photos; then i start spreading the word to others.
