  1. Amtrak only serves the US, in Canada we have VIA rail.

    It stops on bridge street.

  2. The train station is in the downtown area just minutes from the falls and the Hotels and Clifton Hill, I go to NYC on the Amtrak on a regular basis.

  3. Amtrak does not serve any points in Canada. Canadian cities are served by VIA Rail.

They do have service to Niagra Falls, NY. The station is located at 27th Street and Lockport Road.

You can check schedules, fares, station locations, and other information at www.amtrak.com.

  4. Amtrak DOES have service that takes you right into Canada.  I took the Amtrak last year from Syracuse NY back home to Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Although it is an American company, it does travel to Niagara Falls, Ontario, and the customs agents will board the train upon arrival, before anyone is permitted to get off.

The train station is located here:

    http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&q=via%2...

It is about a 5-10 minute drive from the Clifton Hill area.  A taxi from the train station to Clifton Hill will cost you about $10.
