Where does Animal Control take the dead animals they collect off the street?

i was told they take them back to the shelter and they a truck that  takes them to a big feild and digs a big hole and covers them up

in most of the places, they are taken to a mass burial site but somewhere they are taken to burn.

it all depends on the county. some ACs put them in a specified mass burial grave, some have a crematory on site and burn them there, some have the bodies picked up weekly by a company which does either of those options elsewhere. it all depends on what the county has & what they can afford.
