Im very courious with it. My question even cant answer my older classmate or even my own homeroom teacher! So please answer my question.

It's a Greek Name

It comes from the word Χριστός (christos) meaning Jesus Christ and φέρειν (fereen, meaning to carry). Christopher means Carrying Christ and was giving to Saint Christopher because he carried Jesus Christ across a river.

I am not sure about my answer, but I will try to find a logic explanation,

Possibly Christopher are of a Latin origin which is extracted from Jesus the Christ , therefore could be the Christ the saver
