Where does Jonas live in the book "The Giver"?

I have to do a summer reading project and i have to make a postcard of were they live so please help!! :D

He lives in a certain community. It's very organized and in black and white. It has many homes, a school, a house of the Old, and so on.

He doesn't live anywhere really. He just lives in this secretive community.

It did not say. What I would do is a black and white (they didn't have color in their world) pencil sketch of maybe some trees and a road. =)

There is no name given for where Jonas lives.  It is a utopian community, far removed from cities and life the way we experience it.  It could be on a different planet, or in a different reality.  We don't know.

The buildings are probably all identical, because individuality is discouraged.  there is little or no color, and people have similar hair and eye colors.  We think everyone who lives there might be colorblind, because only Jonas and the Giver notice colors.  There are no cars or motorized vehicles, so it is probably a small community.
