  1. This election is about what happens starting in January of 2009 to the American wage-earner. What happens to the 95% of us who tote the barges and lift the bales....sometimes called the 'working class'? The issues are clear. Do we continue to borrow a million dollars a minute to continue two wars with no natural stopping place until there is no more money to borrow? Do we continue to allow the oil producers of the world to hold us hostage to 19th century technology....a technology, along with coal that will continue to fill our paper thin atmosphere with CO2 to the point of destruction? Do we allow unlimited and and answered climate change to effect this country in ways that we can't know and once established cannot be reversed? Do we allow the 'Christian right' to impose their anti-science and reason ideas on a secular society in a way that only differs in degree from the muslim extermists of the middle east? Do we allow our physical infrasturcture to decay to the point of third world conditions....our roads, bridges, water and sewer sytems, ports and electrical grid are already failing. Do we allow that to continue? Do we continue to deny the American wage-earner access to affordable health insurance? Do we continue to increase without end the cost of a university education to the point where hardly a working man or women could ever aspire to put a child through college? These are the issues, and all the swift-boating, disinformation, propaganda, flag waving and cross shaking won't make these issues vanish. What will vanish is the great American middle class.....'a bold yeomanry/their nation's pride/when once destroyed/can never be supplied! Something to think about...no kiddin'!

  2. he is for ending this illegal war. he is for stopping corporate welfare. he is for decent, affordable health care. he is for regaining our respect from other nations. he is foe hunting down illegal nukes and destroying them. he is for lowering bush's deficit.

  3. Why not download his statements from his website?  Might help you get informed.  There is a pdf file that is his Blueprint, but numerous detailed statements as to what his plans are.

  4. Healthcare:  A Universal Health plan that will increase the cost of healthcare for the middle class, by increasing taxes.  We will not only be paying for a failed socialistic system, but it would collapse the infrastructure.

Abortion:  Obama and Biden are pro-choice and Obama has voted for infanticide for babies that survive abortion.

The War on terroism:  Obama believes in negotiating and Biden voted for the war in Iraq.  Obama does not believe evil can be defeated.

Taxes:  he will increase taxes on the rich, or what he perceives to be rich at $250,000.  Many small businesses will lay off workers, aand so will larger businesses to keep their profits up amd their investors happy( anyone who has a 401K is an investor).  Expansion will decrease and jobs would be lost.  By seizing profits from oil companies and taking over private businesses, Obama will bring increased taxes to the middle class, and the wealthy, this can can only hurt the Middle class and the  poor with increased prices.

  5. For those who believe he will raise taxes on the middle class, here is the truth.  http://www.boston.com/business/articles/...

On abortion, he is for a woman's right to choose.  He does not want to send us back to the pre-Roe years of back alley abortions for those who can't afford to cross the border to get one.

    .

On the war on terrorism, he is aware that military force rarely accomplishes anything and that we are wasting billions in our definition of a "war on terror".  For more info, see this:  http://www.rand.org/news/press/2008/07/2...

Healthcare - he wants to set up a national health insurance plan similar to that which is available to the members of Congress.  He wants to encourage competition between insurance companies, instead of continuing to allow there to be fewer and fewer companies available which drives the price of insurance up.

  6. Health Care: No specifics

Abortion: Stated position is pro choice, but voting record goes further, advocating Infanticide (the killing of baby's that survive abortions.

War on Terrorism: This term is not recognized by the Dems

Taxes: All "donate" everything to the government.

  7. Taking everything he says into consideration, one can not say, since he changes his stand on a daily basis.

  8. He is a middle-of-the-road type who thinks. It is a refreshing change from the politics of hate and Republicans divisiveness.

With the Iranians taking over in Iraq, more attacks in Afghanistan, Russia attacking Georgia, US in a massive trillion dollar deficit we cannot afford more subsidies for oil companies courtesy of McBush!

  9. The first link provides the answers.  I hope you find it of use.

  13. There is far to much to post here, but you can read his stand on the issues here:

    (1.)

Abortion is not really a political issue anymore. President Bush used this issue during both campaigns and took very little action.

A bigger issue is infant mortality rate, 6.3 of every thousand births in The USA.

This is something that can be addressed by better heath care, and proper s*x education instead of abstinence only nonsense.

Look at the list and see the Nations with lower rates, check out their health care systems.
