dead horse?

I'm talking about Palin's issues... few seem to be talking about it...

I was hoping to get huge laundry lists of differences...

it would appear I was wrong... and it looks like just another supporter of the status quo in a female and slightly younger package...

I do care about that... and most people I know do too...

  1. no

  2. She doesn't seem to differ much from the fundie, anti choice, pro war stance of the Bush junta.  She is supposedly anti-corruption but like Bush, it is just window dressing.  When she wants to exercise power illegally, she does as with the case of her ex brother in law.

  3. ..... still beating that horse I see.

  4. For crying out loud, is that all that matters is that what's different is good, and what's the same is bad?  Change is good, and anything that does't change is bad?

  5. ......

Oh. Bush is not quite as anti-abortion as Palin is. Bush would allow women to choose abortion in rape, incest, and cases where the mother's life is in jeopardy, Palin would like to ban all abortion, regardless of the reason.

  6. Well let's see, she's actually made changes for her state. (Good changes at that)

She fought hard to get Alaska approved to drill on their own turf so they can reduce their foreign dependence on oil.

She's imposed high taxes on big oil companies.

Although she is against same-s*x marriage she has fought hard to overturn rulings against same-s*x partner visitations in hospital and rulings against same-s*x partner decisions in matters of life and death. She has also fought to allow same-s*x partners the same work benefit heterosexual couples receive.

She had a 90% approval rating for most of her term and has yet to sink below an 80% approval rating. Bush hasn't seen an approval rating that high in his life.

She believes we need to fix the abhorrent mess we made in Iraq and Afghanistan and then get home as fast as possible. I mean why wouldn't she when she has a son enlisted in the army who either is being deployed or was just recently deployed.

She has removed corrupt officials from office(both dem. and repub. but mostly repub.) Bush just wants to send more and more troops.

She has cut Alaska's budget almost in half. Bush has put us so far in debt I doubt we'll get out any time soon.

She has actually lead the life of the average American. She went to a typical college (not Yale or Havrard) she married her sweetheart. She started a family and became a "hockey mom." She's done just about everything the average citizen has done.

You can disagree with some of her views (like I do) but you can't deny the fact that she has done some wonderful things in a short period of time.

You also can't deny the fact that while she has the least overall political experience, she has the most executive experience. She is the only one who has actually had to govern a body of people.

  7. She is more strongly anti-choice.
