I wanted to know if I can open the error log file manually instead of going to event viewer. Is it a separate txt file? Thank you.

  1. hm it is very unlikely that this is just a plain old text file.

With the type of data it has, I'd guess it's binary... and hard to find.

  2. Any of the error log file is only created when the computer reboots after the error & performs chk disc..............The log is save in the windows drive for eg. if C: is the windows drive the log file will be stored in c:\

    ......................................... if this works.

  3. they are stored in the Windows > System32 > Config folder

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\config
