Where does a 13 year old girl get a job?

i am 13 years old and a girl and in australia (queensland). i really want a job, and have been looking for a while, but i cant find anywhere that is suitable. please help.

I don't know what the child labor laws are there-but in case, babysitting is a good way to earn money.

If you get proper training, make sure you know proper emergency procedures (like call police emergency # etc.) and providing you get a good reputation as an excellent sitter with the children (especially the children need to like you) as well as the parents, your babysitting could keep you busy on weekends, etc.

A great site based for young people. 12 - 25 yrs old.

Generally it is 14 1/2 to work in Queensland, but you can work earlier as long as your have your parent’s permission.

Coles, Woolworths, IGA, K-mart, Target, Big W, The Warehouse, book shops...

Any fast food places, McDonalds, KFC etc - they all take on casual staff. - Just walk in and ask !

Smaller takeaway shops, like Pizza, Pasta etc... they are always taking on delivery persons and need kitchen hands....

- Most of the places above you apply online on their websites, look for a link 'careers' or 'employment'.  A bit lengthy I know.... but you fill in what area you want to work etc, and they will email you jobs coming up, you can pick and choose, if you are then accepted they will call you in for an interview.
