Where does brainfreeze come from?? hmmm idk?

ok i know that brainfreeze is when you eat/drink something cold 2 fast, but where does it come from and wat iz happening??? idk just a random question i thought of this morn.

It is the cooling effect on the blood vessels at the back of your throat which causes pain to the brain. If you move the food or liquid to the side of your mouth you won't get brain freeze but your teeth may get cold.

i always thought that it was because your throat is so close to your spinal cord in your neck, that when you drinking something cold, it cools you spine right there and then you feel it in your brain.
