The majority of the world's cacao is grown in Africa and it is made from a small tropical tree called the Theobroma cacao, which also grows in South and Central America.
The process of making chocolate is to first harvest the cacao seeds which are commonly referred to as beans and its to be fermented by tiny microbes. After drying it, cacao beans can then be roasted, milled and processed into a liquid that is used to flavor many types of dark and light chocolates.
