  1. Human worth should only come from inside of ourselves.  It should be our true emotions on respecting out heart, mind, and body.  However, we live in a world where people are selfish, and controlling, and prey upon those they want to manipulate.  If we let this happen, the ones in control typically verbally abuse until we feel belittled and worthless.  It is totally and utterly disgusting that people choose to do this, because they know what they are doing.  They force the person to be dependent upon their words and actions, so much so that the victim gives up their life to make the abuser happy.  People need to take back that control, get confidence in themselves that they are a worthy, wonderful human being.  Human worth comes from within, and we need to stop giving it away to anyone, for any reason.

  2. Human Rights is a relatively recent philosophy. The Founding Fathers of America were some of the first to make the claim.

  3. Potential and Ambition.

  4. From God.Human"worth"is really a spiritual acceptance. It really doesn't matter how much money, clothes, luxuries.material things etc. one has but more importantly it is how that person has grown to shine and help his or her brother on earth What we are is God's gift to us. What we become is our gift to God!

  5. What makes a human? Is it not the human core, the soul, spirit, deep intuitive feelings? If this is our innermost core our worth might be as big as we develop what lies in us like a seed waiting to be watered and fed. The more a human being develops the intrinsic human qualities which make us different from animals for example, the more worth s/he might have. So worth cannot be defined in what we have as material goods or how we look or what job we have, it is how we use our gifts of being a human and enrich us and others with it.

  6. Consciousness.  Most people think it is worth it to stave off their own pain and the pain of others, where it is easy to do so.  Maximize pleasure and minimize pain - that is the only thing we as humans can do for each other that is worth anything, and none of it would be worth anything if it was not for consciousness.

  7. Humans can't be valued.

For us humans, whats better than a good life?

Only for those who treat humans as slaves, they can answer this question.

  8. BRAIN.

  9. this is the million dollar question as far as political and economic philosphy goes.

the capitalist system doesn't accout for human value, it accouts for the profit motive... socialism doesn't account for human value... government doesn't give individuals value...

I think Robert Pirsig answers this one the best in his book Lila... value is BETWEEN subjects and objects.

truth is we don't know for sure because value is always in dynamic flux... identities, once static, are taken out of their element, taken out of how it really is, because change is constant.

human worth is originated in a time of need for a human's worth.
