  1. From lavenders.

  2. it is indeed the honey made from certain flowers.. to my understanding it does not taste like lavender or much different in general.. but some people say they can taste the difference

    :P to them

  3. it comes from lavender blossoms

or if you have a light honey you can put lavender in it for an infused honey

  4. Sounds right to me.  After all, orange blossom honey is made from the nectar of orange blossoms and clover honey is made from the nectar of clover.

  5. Unless you are talking cosmetics or shampoo...then, yes, lavender honey is honey made from (actually it is supposed to be primarily from) the flowers of lavender plants.  Sweet closer honey is from sweet clover, Tupelo honey from the flowers of the Tupelo tree, etc.

Bee keepers move the hives around in order to take advantage of various crops at various times.  Thus when they put the hive in an alfalfa field in full bloom then they can fairly safely assume that most of the honey is from alfalfa plants.

  6. That also happens to me but they just like the smell of the lavender.  Lavender honey is just honey but added with like an oil or something to make it like lavender.
