I'm back in my country ( Holland ) and my fiance has to sign my petition. He's in America. Where does he have to go to get the petition, and is he going to have to do most of the paperwork or me? and my last question, is he the one that's gonna get the mails and stuff in the mail? thank you so much.

  1. He can print the forms and look for the forms he needs on USCIS website.  He has to fill the forms out and gather the documents and fee he needs and send it to the proper facility.  Different states mail to different facilities.  He's receive the receipts, but when everything is ready to move to the next level, they'll notify you both by mail and ask where you want the rest of your correspondence sent.

  2. Your fiance will have to file a package of forms with his local USCIS Service Center. There are two such service centers, one in California and one in Vermont. The state you reside in determines what service center you send the package to. See the instructions for form I-129F for details: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-129Fin...

He's going to be doing most of the paperwork -- although you are free to fill out the forms yourself and have your fiance send them to USCIS on your behalf. You probably won't be able to fill everything out yourself but most of it you should be able to.

Review USCIS forms I-129F and G-325A to know what is expected of you.

The G-325A is a 4-page form and the 4 pages are the same. You need to fill out two G-325A (one for your fiance, one for yourself -- meaning a total of 8 pages). Only one I-129F is required and that is filled out and signed by your fiance. Again you can do most of the work for him if it bothers you that he has to do most of the paperwork.

My wife hates filling out forms and I'm a weirdo who enjoys filling out forms for some reason, so I did most of the administrative work myself when we wanted to apply for my fiance visa.

When the petition is approved, he will be notified in the mail, then the petition will be forwarded to the embassy of the US in the Netherlands, and the embassy will notify you of the rest. From that point forward most of the work is in your hands, except for one thing, which is the affidavit of support your fiance (and any co-sponsors) has to fill out (form I-134).
