  1. The pollen from the stamens  reach the female part of the flower, the pistil. (either by wind or by pollinating insects ,through water, birds or in some cases the flower does the work by itself) The tip of the pistil is the stigma . The pollen lands on the stigma and grows down the pistil's style to the flower's ovary where the eggs are located (ovules). Once it arrives in the ovary it fertilizes the egg. Then the ovary (womb) begins changing. Simply, it becomes the fruit around the seeds. The seeds are the only part that are the result of the union between the male pollen and female eggs. When the eggs finish developing the fruit breaks and  releasing the seeds.
