Where does "Kiss me, I'm Irish" come from?

  1. It comes from buttons they sell to sexually ambitious men around St. Patrick's day. Some of them are old enough to be your grandfather. Some of them are still in high school.

    An awful lot of Italians (Columbus Day), Chinese (Chinese New Year), Mexicans (Cinco de Mayo), Union members (Labor day), Veterans (Memorial Day) and g*y men (Halloween) wish they had thought of it first.

  4. The same place that "Kiss me, I'm Norwegian" came from...and that's no blarney.

  5. The phrase refers to the Blarney Stone. In Ireland you kiss the Blarney Stone for "the gift of gab" or great skill at flattery. People made the saying up as a joke as an Irish person being the next best thing to the Blarney Stone.
