  1. The sun's rays heats up oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, streams, and all other forms of water. This creates water vapor. This vapor floats into the air, where it gets cooler. This cool air causes the vapor to begin to condense, or turn from a gas to liquid. Once enough vapor gathers, the cloud of condensation gets too heavy and falls to the ground, what we call rain

  2. water is heated > water evaporates> clouds are formed > when clouds contain enough water> it rains> the process repeats

  3. The process of change of state of matter from vapour to liquid is called condensation. These condensation of water vapour in the atmosphere  produce clouds. When a given space contains all the water vapour it can hold at a particular temperature, the space is said to be saturated.Any further addition of water vapour after the saturation stage, leads to the condensation of the excess water vapour into water droplets. So,clouds form when air becomes saturated at the cloud-level which is brought about by the cooling of the rising airmass.

But condensation takes place in the atmosphere, only in the presence of what is called condensation nucei which are tiny particles of salt, dust particles, smoke, droplets of sulphuric acid which are already available in the atmosphere in plenty.Water requires a non-gaseous surface to become liquid from a vapour stage and these condensation nuclei serve this purpose.Millions of such droplets formed by condensation come together to form clouds.Under certain conditions, when these droplets merge together to form bigger drops, they gain weight and fall as rain.
