  1. It goes further east, weakening as it goes, into the southern Arctic Ocean right off the northern coast of Scandinavia.

    It keeps western Europe warm because it transports warm tropical water northward.


  2. The Gulf Stream is a circulating ocean current that rotates in a clockwise direction in the southern Atlantic ocean. The east side of the current passes by England and as here in America can have great influence on the weather conditions. The Gulf Stream is only a mile or two off the coast of Florida, approx 30 miles of the coast of Cape Hatteras, NC and is further offshore the further north it goes and makes it's circular turn toward Europe
