  1. E is for Essex


  2. for new cars eg EJ57 YTZ it is essex area or  Cardiganshire from 1962   or  Haverfordwest after 1974

  4. It was Carmarthenshire on the old number plates; eg

    XEJ 123 X or X 123 XEJ

    but on the new style of plate, it's Essex; eg

    EJ 01 ABC
